Packaging Systems and Conveyors
With recent advances in machine and conveyor system technology, packaging designers have many options available to them when designing packaging and applications.
The box orientation changer device in our video was designed and built at our in-house factory in Cheshire. The system is being used where packaging needs to be printed when it is in a particular orientation.
The video below shows a box orientation changer device where boxes being moved along a conveyor need to be printed in a particular orientation. They can, of course, be used in other scenarios apart from printing.
Advanced packaging machines and systems incorporate electronics and controls that are necessary to provide the motion required. In many cases the systems have to deal with irregularly shaped boxes and sensors and robotics are required. Even products packaged in plastic bags may need to have stop-start motions built into the system or product may have to reverse, speed up or accumulate.
In order to carry out all of these different manoevers the control system for the conveyor may been servos, switches, encoders, sensors and also hydraulic drives. At Mobility Engineering our specialist engineers will assess the complexity of the task and they will also determine the investment required for the building, installing and operation of the system.
