Modular Belt Conveyors
At Mobility Engineering we specialise in all sizes of projects, and many can be highly technical and involve products being moved from one factory area to another on different levels and even in different buildings.
We recently worked with a customer who produces plastic cartons. The brief from the customer was to move their products from the production hall to the packing hall. The issue with this brief was that the two different areas were within two different buildings and products had to move through different levels. The buildings were joined by a high level, covered tunnel.
Our design team visited the customer's premises and set to work to provide a solution to the customer's requirements.
Our solution was to create a conveyor system which collects the cartons from the manufacturing machines (using incline conveyors) which bring the products together onto one main elevated conveyor at a high level in the production hall (which included a transfer of 90 degrees). The products then travel through the production hall, continuing along the conveyor through the high level tunnel, to reach the packing hall.

Products arriving in the packing hall, ready to be finished and packed:
Our team designed and built this conveyor system using a series of wide, flighted incline conveyors which fed the cartons from the manufacturing machines and dropping them onto a wide modular belt conveyor. The products then travelled through the buildings to the packing department where they could be processed, finished off and packed.
