Belt Conveyors

Mobility Engineering are experts in belt conveyors.

The belt conveyors manufactured at Mobility Engineering are PVC or PU. These types of belt conveyors are ideal or use where clean areas are required, such as the food or pharmeceutical industries. Other types of belt conveyors available from Mobility, are Modular Belt Conveyors which also used in these industries. The difference between the traditional belt conveyor and the modular belt conveyor is that the modular conveyor is constructed as a series of links, which can be individually designed to suit the particular application of the customer.

Traditional Belt Conveyors

The tradtional PVC/PU Belt Conveyor system is still very widely used as it is a very cost-effective option compared to the modular belt conveyor. Where the belt is being used for picking and packing lines or where the belt is being used for horizontal packing  we recommend the traditional belt. If food products will be in direct contact with the belt then we recommend food grade PU belting.  Food grade belting has to conform to current legislation and carry the required approvals for use with food.

Modular Belt Conveyors

Modular (or plastic) belt is chosen over the traditional PVC/PU belt for various reasons. It has excellent durability and multi-functional properties. Modular belt is normally made from either polypropylene, polyethylene or polyacetal and each of these materials are suitable for working in different temperatures. More details of these products can be found on modular belt conveyors on our website. Modular belt conveyors can incorporate different features, including an open grid where air or water can be passed through the belt, or where a grip is incorporated if the belt is to be used on an incline.
